Location
London Waterloo Head Office with hybrid working; supporting a cluster of academies in the Greater London region (to be discussed).
Hours
37 hours per week with occasional support required outside these hours for critical incidents.
Salary
Circa £56,000 per annum.
About the Role
Join Oasis Community Learning, a large Multi-Academy Trust of 58 academies, as a People Manager on a 12-month fixed term contract. This varied HR Business Partner role involves leading on a wide range of HR matters for the academies you support, overseeing and ensuring successful delivery of people plans. You will act as a true strategic partner to key stakeholders including Principals and national department leads, providing proactive coaching and support on people challenges. Supported by an experienced team and specialists in areas such as Employee Relations and recruitment, you will help embed change and drive people-focused projects forward. The role is part of the People and Culture function, contributing to Oasis’s vision of building stronger communities and enhancing young people’s lives through exceptional education.

Holiday Entitlement
The holiday year runs from 1st September to 31st August. Entitlement is pro-rata if employment starts or ends mid-year. Support staff holiday entitlement is:
- Under 2 years’ continuous service: 34 days (26 days + 8 Bank holidays)
- Under 4 years’ continuous service: 39 days (31 days + 8 Bank holidays)
- Over 4 years’ continuous service: 40 days (32 days + 8 Bank holidays)

Experience
Proven experience as an HR generalist with a strong background in employee relations, ideally including experience in a unionised environment. Experience in education is advantageous but not essential if you can demonstrate transferable skills from other sectors. Experience managing or supporting change initiatives and driving people-focused projects is required.

You are a people person who enjoys engaging directly with stakeholders, particularly in academy settings. You have strong influencing skills and the ability to act as a trusted advisor to leaders. You are proactive, approachable, and able to coach others through complex people challenges. You share Oasis’s vision and values and are motivated to make a positive difference in education and community settings.
Qualifications
Relevant HR qualifications or CIPD membership would be advantageous but are not explicitly required. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults are essential.
