About the Role
Be a hero to a young person in care by becoming an Independent Visitor (IV) - a volunteer mentor and trusted friend. As an IV, you will visit a young person in care once a month to enjoy fun, supportive activities together, providing consistent, caring support outside their professional network. This long-term role requires a commitment of at least two years to build a strong, stable relationship. Activities may include cinema trips, bowling, park visits, or simply spending time chatting. You will also keep in touch between visits with calls or messages if the young person wishes, and occasionally join group events. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful, positive difference in a young person’s life by being a reliable and caring adult presence.

Qualifications
No formal qualifications required. Full initial training and ongoing support will be provided, including one-to-one supervision and access to additional training resources.
