About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity within the CRM, Data & Insights team supporting BBC Studios’ Kids & Family (K&F) Productions. Reporting to the VP, Insight (K&F), you will provide insights across the content and brand lifecycle, from understanding changing children’s viewing habits to informing development of new and existing IP, performance reporting, and supporting commissioning and commercial decisions. The K&F portfolio includes popular shows such as Bluey, Maisy, Blue Peter, and Crookhaven, with Bluey being the #1 kids’ show in Australia, the UK, and the US.
This role works closely with BBC Studios’ Production and Brands & Licensing teams, including Development, Strategy, Marketing, Consumer Products, Licensing, Gaming, Digital, and Content Sales. Collaboration with other Insight teams across BBC Studios and BBC Group Audiences is key.
Your responsibilities include driving insights to support creative and commercial decisions, leading Bluey brand insight requests and reporting, managing the K&F Trends programme, integrating digital data into reporting, designing and managing ad hoc research projects, and managing supplier relations including budget and contract management. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and junior insight team members to maximise the impact of the Insights team across the business.
Experience
- Proven track record designing and delivering multi-market research programmes that influence business decisions
- Strong quantitative analytical skills, especially working creatively with large data sets
- Confident using industry sources and software such as Techedge, Nielsen, Tubular, YouGov, Insight Family
- Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with internal partners and wider teams

- Strong communicator able to tell compelling stories in a relevant, creative, and engaging manner
- Collaborative team player comfortable working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Proactive and organised, able to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Qualifications
- Experience within the children’s market is a bonus but not essential
- Experience running qualitative groups is desirable
- Experience managing large scale brand trackers is advantageous
- Transferable skills and strengths relevant to the role are welcomed
