This unique role offers the opportunity to develop skills beyond the usual social work remit and provides valuable networking opportunities within the community.
As the Children’s Interfaith Safeguarding Co-ordinator, you will actively establish and develop relationships between faith and belief groups in Tower Hamlets and statutory services to promote best safeguarding practices. You will also support the Local Authority Designated Officer in cases involving allegations against staff in faith-based organisations. Additionally, you will ensure faith-based organisations are kept informed of lessons learned from Child Practice Safeguarding Reviews, local reviews, and multi-agency audits.
