Location
Central London, Old Admiralty Building. This role must be worked from within the UK.

Hours
Part Time - 2 days per week (16 hours). Flexible with your preference on days and hours, with a requirement to be in the office for those 2 days.

Salary
£41,494 per annum (pro-rata)

As an IT Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless IT services that empower staff to deliver on DBT’s mission. You will manage IT services to meet agreed service level agreements (SLAs), handle incidents, problems, and changes promptly, and oversee asset and licence management to ensure value for money.

You will work within a busy, dynamic team, maintaining high service quality and availability. This role supports a digital-by-default culture and agile working practices, engaging with stakeholders to deliver continuous service improvements and effective communication of technical changes.

Requirements

Experience
- Investigating issues, understanding the impact of technical changes, and identifying appropriate solutions while working with stakeholders to clarify requirements and benefits.
- Managing third-party suppliers against agreed SLAs, escalating issues as needed, and supporting or leading regular service reviews.
- Producing clear and accurate service reports for senior stakeholders within agreed timeframes, using data to support insights and improvements.
- Good stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective working relationships to support service delivery.

About you
Experienced IT professional with strong communication and problem-solving skills. You are proactive in resolving technical problems and committed to delivering quality products and services that meet business needs. You embrace agile working practices and a digital-by-default culture. Experience with Jira and Confluence, as well as asset management, is desirable.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are mandated; however, relevant IT experience and a commitment to continual service improvement are essential.
