About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, passionate, and organised individual to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant. In this role, you will support the chef to create healthy and balanced meals and snacks, ensuring a good understanding of various dietary requirements and allergens. You will maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen, adhering to COSHH regulations and health and safety protocols. The role requires teamwork as well as the ability to work independently when needed, effectively managing your time. Additionally, you will offer support, communication, and engagement to the residents, contributing to their wellbeing and satisfaction.

Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen setting is essential. Experience in a care home setting is also essential.

About you
You should have some prior knowledge of food safety and COSHH. You will be a caring, self-motivated, and enthusiastic individual who can show empathy to the needs of others. While prior care experience is not required, a background in catering and a willingness to learn are important. You must have the right to work in the UK for a minimum of 12 months.

Qualifications
No formal qualifications are specified, but fully funded training up to QCF level 5 is available as part of career development.
