About the Role
Personalised Experiences and Communications (PEC) is a business platform within Consumer Relationships that supports Lloyds Banking Group's strategic goals by deepening customer relationships. PEC delivers personalised communications and experiences across all channels and business areas, enabling the Customer Relationship Growth strategy for both retail and commercial banking. It also drives data, analytics, and technology to enhance branded experiences, propositions, pricing, and sustainable, paper-free ambitions.
As Lead Quality Engineer, you will shape technical solutions, lead engineering practices, and collaborate closely with product and engineering teams. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality software delivery aligned with our engineering transformation strategy.

Experience
- Strong Quality Engineering and Test Management experience across the entire test lifecycle
- Experience in test automation, user acceptance testing, mocking, and test data management
- Understanding of wider testing approaches and tooling including security, performance, chaos, and contract testing
- Knowledge of systems design considerations such as security, cloud, event-driven systems, microservices, resilience, automation, and SRE
- Proven ability to lead teams to align with strategic tooling and approaches, driving excellence through quality and innovation
- Experience embedding QE standard methodologies across various technology stacks
- Shift left solutions and expanding current capabilities are essential

Qualifications
Desirable skills include:
- Cypress, Playwright, Karate, Jenkins, GitHub, Selenium, Applitools
- Experience with desktop/mobile cloud testing tools such as Perfecto, BrowserStack, or SauceLabs for compatibility testing
- Deep understanding of Java, JavaScript, NodeJS, Postman, TDD, and BDD best practices
- Hands-on experience with Java/JavaScript test automation programming and building test frameworks from scratch in an agile environment
- Strong experience with Appium, WebdriverIO, Cucumber, and API automation solutions such as RestAssured, Karate, or Postman
