About the Role
As a Learner Experience Officer (LEO), you will make a powerful contribution by supporting learners throughout their educational journey, from admissions to completion. You will gain practical, hands-on experience in admissions, enrolment, and frontline customer service at reception desks and learner support hubs. Your responsibilities will include assisting learners with digital systems, handling enquiries, issuing certificates and ID badges, and managing records. You will also be responsible for opening and closing learning centres, including tending to alarms and securing the building. Structured training will be provided to ensure high standards of service delivery. Additionally, you will act as a Fire Marshall and First Aider. Flexibility is essential as priorities may change, and you will be encouraged to generate ideas to improve learner experience, development, and progression. Maintaining a broad knowledge of the Academic Departments and courses available to learners is key. You will regularly collaborate with admissions, learner support, and academic departments within a culture that values professionalism, mutual support, and high-quality service. If you enjoy helping others, thrive in a varied and people-focused role, and want to contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, this is a fantastic opportunity for you.
Experience
Previous experience working with adults in a front-facing role providing outstanding customer service is essential. Experience in Adult Education is highly desirable. You should have supported people in using digital platforms and be familiar with self-service customer database and record systems.
