About the Role
Southwark College, part of the NCG Group, is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Worker to join a large team supporting learners. The role involves providing in-class support for learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), including note taking, prompting, and assisting students with classroom tasks to facilitate access to teaching, learning, and assessment. You will create, adapt, and use a range of resources and strategies to meet learners’ needs, including e-resources, assistive technology, and adapted equipment. Additional duties include supervising learners on arrival, during lunchtimes and breaks, ensuring their safe departure, and supporting learners off-site during trips, travel training, and work placements. You will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of learner needs, progress, and achievement of learning targets. Requirements

Experience
Previous experience working with learners requiring support is desirable but not essential. Enthusiasm and commitment to supporting learners are key.

About you
You should be passionate about helping students achieve their full potential, motivated, patient, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Good communication skills and the ability to adapt resources and strategies to meet individual learner needs are important.

Qualifications
There are no specific qualification requirements for this role; however, relevant experience or training in learning support or education would be advantageous.
