About the Role
We are looking for a bright, capable Legal Assistant to support our Legal & HR team within a multi-jurisdiction financial services business. This hands-on role is suited to a graduate with one to two years of experience, ideally in fintech or another regulated environment, who has worked in a legal, contract, or compliance role and is now looking to broaden their skillset. You do not need to be a qualified lawyer, and we are not necessarily looking for someone with many years of experience. We seek someone legally minded and genuinely interested in how a regulated business operates: sharp, well-organised, and able to work quickly and accurately across a varied workload. In return, you will gain broad exposure across contracts, regulatory support, and day-to-day legal operations, with real room to grow.

About the Company
Trade Nation is a global CFD and spread betting broker helping traders make better decisions through clear market insights, transparent pricing, and a fairer approach to trading. Since 2014, we have grown into a market-leading, low-cost broker with headquarters in London and offices across Europe, South Africa, Asia-Pacific, and key offshore regions including the Caribbean and Indian Ocean. Our platform is available in 14 languages, making it accessible worldwide. Built on transparency and trust and driven by our people, our focus is simple: helping customers trade more effectively by keeping costs low, cutting unnecessary complexity, and using technology to put traders first.

Your Team
Our London office is our headquarters, a short walk from Liverpool Street on the eastern edge of the City, surrounded by plenty of great places to eat and explore. The office offers a modern working environment with spacious communal areas, a bike shed, showers, and a rooftop terrace enjoyed during the summer.

Our Commitments to Each Other
We have each other’s backs when needed most. We challenge each other to be more creative, curious, and bold. We thrive together by taking our work to the next level and forming strong bonds through team building and social events. We don’t judge but teach and remain open to learning. We step up by taking ownership and supporting each other.

Responsibilities
Assisting with drafting, reviewing, and administering a range of commercial documents including NDAs, supplier agreements, and employment-related documentation; maintaining and updating the contract management system to ensure agreements are accurately recorded, tracked, and easily accessible; supporting the full contract lifecycle including renewals, amendments, terminations, and diarised deadlines; conducting legal and regulatory research across jurisdictions; coordinating document execution, arranging signatures, and maintaining clean execution records; liaising with internal stakeholders to gather information, assist with legal queries, and keep matters moving; helping develop and maintain legal templates, policies, and internal procedures; supporting internal audits and regulatory reviews by collating and organising relevant documentation.

Requirements

Experience
- Around 1–2 years’ experience in a professional environment, ideally in fintech, financial services, or another regulated setting
- Genuine exposure to contracts, legal documentation, or a regulated compliance function

About You
- A legally minded approach with a real interest in law, regulation, and how a regulated business operates
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage several matters at once and work quickly and accurately to deadlines
- A confident, professional communicator both in writing and in person
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Solid IT skills, confident with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and able to pick up new systems easily
- A proactive, professional attitude and the maturity to operate in a corporate environment
- A real appetite to learn and build a career in legal, regulatory, and compliance work

Qualifications
- A degree in law, business, or a related discipline

Desirable
- Familiarity with a contract management system or other legal/compliance tools
- An understanding of financial services regulation (for example, the FCA or an equivalent regulator) and how a regulated business operates in practice
