About the Role
Legatics is seeking an early-career lawyer or legal operations specialist to run and build out our internal legal function. This hands-on role offers broad exposure across commercial contracts, data protection, compliance, and legal operations within a fast-growing LegalTech scale-up. You will work closely with commercial teams and business heads, supporting customer contract processes end to end, maintaining playbooks and trackers, and managing a well-documented compliance and data protection program in collaboration with the infosec team and other stakeholders. You will own day-to-day legal operations, focusing on process ownership, accuracy, and execution. This is an excellent opportunity to grow quickly, learn across multiple legal disciplines, and shape how a scale-up manages its legal operations.
Legatics is a leading LegalTech scale-up transforming legal transaction experiences worldwide. Our platform streamlines collaboration and deal closing for lawyers by automating traditional paper and email-based processes, improving efficiency and profitability. Our customers include top global law firms, and our platform has been used in transactions across more than 20 countries.
Key responsibilities include negotiating SaaS contracts with new customers in line with playbook positions; coordinating customer contract administration including first-draft preparation, filing, and checks; maintaining contract summary matrices, playbooks, and templates; supporting renewals and tracking key dates; assisting with customer due diligence and privacy-related infosec questionnaires; managing supply chain risk processes including supplier onboarding and annual checks; maintaining data protection records and running the GDPR compliance program; and providing first-line legal support across departments such as Finance, Operations, Commercial, Marketing, and People, resolving queries or escalating as needed.
