About the Role
As a Lived Experience Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey within the Club Drug Clinic. Using your own lived experience, you will provide hope, encouragement, and practical support to clients, helping them to engage with treatment and build resilience. This role is key to fostering a recovery-focused environment and working collaboratively with clinical teams to deliver person-centred care. You will be an advocate for recovery principles and contribute to the development of peer support services within the Trust.

Requirements

Experience
Experience of recovery from substance use or mental health challenges is essential. Previous work or volunteering in a peer support or recovery role is desirable but not mandatory.

About you
You will be compassionate, non-judgemental, and able to build trusting relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds. Strong communication and teamwork skills are important, as is a commitment to promoting recovery and wellbeing. You should be motivated to use your lived experience to inspire and support others.

Qualifications
There are no formal qualifications required for this role. A willingness to undertake relevant training and development provided by the Trust is expected.
