Hours
Full time, Monday to Friday with rolling rota covering gastroenterology outpatient clinics (face-to-face and virtual), ward rounds, MDT participation, clinical administration, endoscopy lists, and 1 week non-resident out of hours GI Bleed cover from 8 am Monday to 8 am the following Monday.
Salary
£95-£115 per hour (Inside IR35 only)
About the Role
As a Locum Consultant Gastroenterologist, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and managing gastrointestinal conditions, working within multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care. Your duties will include performing endoscopic procedures such as OGD and colonoscopy, managing inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology services, supporting junior doctors and MDTs, and contributing to service development and audits. Assignments are available for both short-term and long-term locum contracts, starting ASAP for an initial 3-month period with potential extensions.

Experience
- Relevant NHS experience at Consultant level, or references supporting transition to Consultant level
- Experience performing endoscopic procedures and managing gastroenterology services
- Strong communication and teamworking skills

Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
