Helping others improve and turn their lives around – there’s no better feeling. At Cygnet Hospital Beckton, part of the NHS, we offer a range of secure mental health services for women across four specialist wards including PICU, acute admissions and personality disorder services. We are recruiting full-time Mental Health Support Workers with a passion for delivering outstanding care. As an active member of our dynamic team, you will support nursing staff with the admission, assessment, implementation and discharge of inpatients, always prioritising dignity and safety.
In this role, you will work as part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team to support the implementation of treatments and therapies according to service users’ care plans. You will complement and provide support to qualified nurses, undertake safe observations of patients (sometimes on a 1:1 basis), and meet the physical and emotional needs of service users in a caring and empathic manner. You will play an active role in maintaining physical and mental wellbeing by supporting individual or group work, maintain a safe, clean and enjoyable environment, and work within safeguarding guidelines.
