About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to support the design, delivery, and operation of mission-critical facilities, with a strong focus on data centre environments. This role will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and performance of mechanical systems, working closely with cross-functional teams and external contractors.

Key responsibilities include leading and managing the full MEP scope on a large-scale data centre project in Hertfordshire, North London. You will oversee planning, coordination, installation, and delivery of all mechanical, electrical, and public health systems from construction through to commissioning and handover. Acting as the primary MEP point of contact for the Owner’s Representative, you will ensure transparent reporting, alignment with the client's strategic vision, and timely resolution of owner queries or concerns.

You will manage MEP subcontractors and specialist vendors to achieve performance, productivity, and quality targets, ensuring full integration of MEP works with CSA, commissioning, and project controls teams. Developing and maintaining detailed project programmes, tracking progress against key milestones, and working closely with commercial teams to monitor budgets, control costs, and manage variations are essential.

Ensuring all works comply with design specifications, contracts, and regulatory requirements, liaising with client representatives, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery, and proactively identifying and mitigating project risks are critical to this role. You will also lead coordination and progress meetings, support testing, commissioning, and final system handover processes, and drive a strong site culture focused on safety, quality, coordination, and delivery excellence.

Strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards across all MEP activities is required.

Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mission critical facility design, construction environments, and mechanical infrastructure.
- 5 years of experience with mechanical infrastructure systems such as HVAC, cooling systems, and water system engineering.
- 5 years of experience with data centre operations and working with mechanical contractors and cross-functional project teams.
- 5 years of experience with electro/mechanical assembly and mechanical testing procedures, including resolution and documentation maintenance for mechanical designs.

About you
You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage complex projects. You have excellent communication and coordination abilities, capable of working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. You are committed to safety, quality, and delivery excellence, and thrive in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
