About the Role
The post holder will work according to their core specialist skills and level of qualification. The main activities include painting, decorating, maintenance, reactive repairs, compliance monitoring, and associated remedial work. The role involves performing routine and non-routine, non-complex and complex tasks, being responsible for all repairs and routine planned maintenance activities as directed by management. The post holder must ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures, taking all necessary safety measures to prevent danger, avoid injury, and prevent damage to equipment.
For small repairs, the post holder may work independently. On larger projects, they will work as part of a team alongside other estates staff such as tilers, plumbers, bricklayers, and carpenters, and may be required to travel between sites.
The post holder will also undertake condition surveys, evaluate inspection reports, and carry out maintenance repairs, improvement, and capital works across the Estate and other buildings as directed by management, ensuring compliance with the Trust’s safety standards and procedures.

Experience
Experience in painting, decorating, maintenance, and reactive repairs is essential. Ability to perform both routine and complex maintenance tasks and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to follow procedures to prevent injury and damage. Able to work across multiple sites and collaborate with a range of tradespeople. Flexible and adaptable to varied maintenance and repair tasks.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or certifications in painting, decorating, or maintenance trades are desirable. Core specialist skills and appropriate level of qualification required to perform the role effectively.
