About the Role
Join our supportive North East Surrey Speech and Language Therapy team as a Newly Qualified Practitioner. You will work within a small SLT team based at a new satellite school for autistic children, while also supporting a patch of mainstream schools. Our large and friendly team of Speech and Language Therapists and Therapy Assistants work across mainstream and special schools, supporting children with Additional Needs and Disabilities. We operate a tiered model delivering universal, targeted, and specialist interventions to children, families, and school staff, ensuring the right support at the right time for children and young people, with and without EHCPs.

Your role will involve clinical decision making in collaboration with school staff, evidence-based practice, assessment, advice, and intervention for children with a range of speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). You will work with Therapy Assistants to set targets and monitor outcomes, manage and prioritise your caseload, and contribute to a varied and mixed caseload across different settings and age groups.

We offer excellent supervision and professional support including a comprehensive clinical supervision programme, buddy system, weekly 1:1 meetings initially, extensive in-house and external training opportunities, clinical effectiveness and case study groups, termly study days, and enhanced support to develop your competencies.

Additional benefits include payment of RCSLT membership and HCPC fees, flexible working around core school hours, an Employee Assistance Programme, carers leave, paternity, adoption and dependants leave, a generous local government pension, and lifestyle discounts.
