About the Role

The ward supports both informal patients and those detained under the Mental Health Act. You will be responsible for providing direct clinical care including OT assessments, treatment, and management of individuals, developing and implementing personalised OT treatment programmes based on assessment findings and associated risks within a multidisciplinary team (MDT). You will also supervise one OT Assistant following preceptorship and report to the Head of Occupational Therapy.

The MDT includes nurses, doctors, psychologists, psychology assistants, occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, social therapists, and social workers, ensuring comprehensive support and safety for service users while promoting their independence.
