About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist to join one of our Mental Health & Wellness Teams based in Waltham Forest. You will provide high-quality client care within your team, working with existing clients and liaising with Home Treatment, inpatient teams, and triage for new referrals. You will be supported by a team including Junior OTs and an Advanced Practitioner OT, offering both formal and informal guidance.
Your main duties will include delivering a range of evidence-based interventions that promote recovery, social inclusion, and normalization for service users. You will manage challenging clinical situations, plan and regularly evaluate care plans, and critically assess the effectiveness of therapy interventions in collaboration with service users, carers, and other professionals. You will provide specialist clinical advice, contribute to clinical information by attending meetings and ward rounds, and work in partnership with other services to support safe management of service users’ needs. You will also work within safeguarding adults and children’s frameworks and take responsibility for evidence-based clinical audits.
