About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Mental Health and Wellness Team (MHWT) in Redbridge. The MHWT is a community mental health service providing assessment, intervention, and recovery-focused support for adults. As a key member of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will deliver high quality, person-centred Occupational Therapy interventions that promote independence, social inclusion, and meaningful engagement in daily life.
You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary and OT team pathway, contributing to holistic care planning, risk formulations, and evidence-based interventions. The role offers opportunities to develop specialist skills, support service development, co-production, and contribute towards a recovery-oriented service model.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist passionate about community mental health and committed to improving outcomes within a supportive and forward-thinking team.
The role includes managing your own workload, prioritising tasks effectively, and working independently as well as part of a team. Flexibility, excellent communication, and organisational skills are essential. The position may involve working across multiple sites.
New starters will receive a comprehensive induction including mandatory training, systems training, and equipment allocation, held at the Trust's head office in Goodmayes Hospital. The post is subject to a probationary period unless exempt as an internal applicant.
Joining #TeamNELFT means becoming part of a welcoming and supportive working environment. NELFT is CQC rated Good and committed to achieving Outstanding. The Trust provides community and mental healthcare services across North East London and Essex, with award-winning equality, diversity, and staff wellbeing initiatives. Significant investment is made in staff development to ensure high-quality care delivery.
