About the Role
We are seeking an Operations Integration Specialist to join Thames Water on a fixed term 12-month contract covering maternity leave. In this pivotal role, you will be embedded within our Water Production team, supporting Capital Delivery during a major enhancement and refurbishment period at one of the UK’s largest Water Treatment Works.

You will champion operational needs throughout the entire capital delivery project lifecycle, ensuring projects are designed and delivered to last. Acting as the essential link between planning and performance, strategy and practicality, you will work closely with operational teams to align project delivery with operational requirements.

Key responsibilities include:
- Solution process sign-off: Represent Operations as the end-user and manage expectations of the solution delivery team.
- Outage Planning: Collaborate with Operations to plan and schedule outages related to capital projects, taking ownership of outage requests.
- Data Gathering & Interpretation: Understand site restrictions, analyse site performance, quantify and flag risks.
- Stakeholder Management: Facilitate meetings, workshops, progress reviews, and manage site access requests.
- Project Administration: Monitor project progress from an operational perspective and liaise with internal and external parties.
- Facilitate Testing: Support asset integration and contractor teams with on-site testing for projects involving complex operational interfaces.
- Operational Strategy: Work with system planning to identify gaps between investment plans and operational needs.
- Operational Delivery: Collaborate closely with operational site teams to encourage synergies and ensure project success.

The role requires presence on site as needed to ensure ownership of activities and minimize impact on front-line teams.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to once-in-a-generation upgrades to London’s water treatment infrastructure and make a lasting impact on the region’s water services.

Experience

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge and experience of Health & Safety systems, processes, and procedures.
- Experience analysing, interpreting, and communicating data to drive performance and solutions.
- Full UK driving licence.

About you
- Self-motivated, resilient, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Strong commercial awareness and broad business knowledge.
- Collaborative team player with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to be present on site as required to support operational delivery and reduce impact on front-line teams.

Qualifications
- Formal technical qualification (e.g., apprenticeship or degree) is desirable.
- Experience in the water industry or similar utilities sector is advantageous.
- Experience delivering capital projects with a good understanding of risks and dependencies.
- Understanding of contractual testing and experience supporting sign-off processes is beneficial.
