About the Role
The City of London Corporation is a unique organisation with a wide-reaching impact across London, the UK, and beyond. As one of three Personal Assistant and Member Services Officers, you will provide proactive and comprehensive support to Members of the City of London Corporation, focusing primarily on Member Services activities.
You will lead the ongoing Member Learning & Development programme, aligned with the Member Learning and Development Strategy 2025-2029. This includes identifying essential, recommended, and requested training needs, monitoring participation, and ensuring the programme delivers value for money.
In addition, you will act as a seconder to officers supporting the Standards regime by arranging meetings, circulating information, and serving as a first point of contact.
Your responsibilities will also include clerking the Member Development & Standards Sub-Committee by preparing reports, agendas, minutes, and providing governance advice.
You will administer, implement, and develop Member privileges policies such as the Member Allowance Scheme and Member Transport Policy, managing these day-to-day and contributing to policy amendments or new policy development.
Supporting your colleagues, you will provide personal assistance, administrative, and diary management support to senior elected Members of the Court of Common Council as required.
The role is hybrid, reflecting the City of London Corporation’s flexible approach to workplace attendance, balancing office presence with remote working according to business needs.
Experience
Demonstrable experience in creating, delivering, and administering learning and development programmes or similar within a comparable setting is essential.
