About the Role
Hounslow Adult and Community Education (Learn Hounslow) delivers the council’s Adult Education Budget allocation, funding a range of learning opportunities to help adults develop knowledge, skills and confidence to re-skill, up-skill, move into work, improve prospects and support their families. We are expanding our part-time sessional tutor panel and invite suitably qualified and experienced tutors with a passion for their specialist subject and the ability to engage adults positively to deliver and assess learning.

We are seeking tutors in the following areas:
- Arabic (Modern Standard)
- Art and Design
- Baking
- Cake Decoration
- Cookery
- Family Learning
- Nutrition
- Special Effects Make-up
- Textiles
- TV & Film

Key responsibilities include delivering and assessing engaging, motivating, high-quality teaching and learning to enable learners to achieve their outcomes, maintaining teaching and learning documentation such as e-registers, schemes of work, and records of assessment and achievement, and fully implementing the Equality and Diversity Policy in all aspects of the role.

You will join the Hounslow Adult and Community Education team, part of the Community Learning team, which aims to reach those furthest from education and work, enhance life chances, and improve wellbeing through a targeted curriculum of non-accredited courses ranging from wellbeing to advanced levels. Community Learning offers pathways into creative qualifications from Entry 3 to Level 2.

Experience
Relevant experience in teaching, learning and assessment is essential.

About you
Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately with a range of people including learners, senior managers, tutors and partners. Excellent organisational skills and proficiency with educational digital technology. Knowledge of your subject area and a passion for engaging adult learners.

Qualifications
- Subject specialist qualification at Level 3 or above
- Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above
- Qualifications in English and maths at Level 2 or equivalent
