About the Role
The Patient Pathway Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the department by monitoring and reviewing patient care and treatment progress in line with Trust and local policies. You will manage patient pathways using the Patient Tracking List, coordinate appointments, handle referrals, and provide administrative support to clinical teams. The role involves liaising with clinicians, managers, external Trusts, and General Practitioners to ensure timely and efficient patient care. You will participate in national audits, contribute to policy development, and suggest improvements to patient pathways and tracking processes. Additionally, you will supervise departmental administrators, support Multi-Disciplinary Team preparations, and ensure compliance with Trust policies including confidentiality, information governance, health and safety, infection control, and safeguarding. This role requires proactive problem solving, escalation of issues when necessary, and active participation in departmental development and meetings to support high quality patient care.
Experience
Experience in administrative coordination within a healthcare setting is desirable. Ability to manage patient pathways, handle clinical correspondence, and work within multidisciplinary teams is essential.

You are organised, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure. Strong communication skills and the ability to develop working relationships with clinical and managerial staff are important. You must be committed to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to Trust policies. A flexible approach to working hours and duties is required to support service needs.
Qualifications
Relevant administrative or healthcare qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory. Training will be provided to ensure compliance with Trust policies and to support your development in the role.
