About the Role
Are you an experienced Plumber with a strong customer focus and a passion for delivering quality repairs? As a Plumber at Peabody, you will play a key role in providing responsive maintenance services to our residents, ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will support our "Right First Time" approach by delivering excellent workmanship and providing a positive experience for residents and stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include carrying out plumbing repairs and maintenance within occupied and void properties, supporting a first-time-fix culture by diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently, and completing a range of basic multi-trade repairs where required. You will deliver excellent customer service, maintain positive relationships with residents, and ensure all work is completed safely, compliantly, and to a high-quality standard.
You will update PDA devices with job progress, works completed, and photographic evidence, maintain van stock levels to minimise downtime and maximise productivity, complete all required documentation accurately and on time, and liaise effectively with managers, planners, and colleagues to ensure smooth service delivery. You will also promote Peabody's standards, values, and professional image at all times.
This role involves working within occupied homes and delivering responsive repairs services to residents. Own trade-specific tools are essential for this role.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience carrying out plumbing repairs and maintenance works
- Experience working within a responsive repairs or maintenance environment
- Multi-trade skills and experience
- Experience managing van stock and materials effectively
- Ability to use PDA/mobile working technology confidently
- Basic understanding of Schedule of Rates
- Knowledge of the London area

Qualifications
- City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent Plumbing qualification (or significant relevant experience)
- CSCS Site Operative Card
- Asbestos Awareness Training
- Full UK manual Driving Licence
- Desirable: SMSTS Health & Safety qualification, First Aid qualification, DBS clearance, Part P qualification
