About the Role
As a highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented Portfolio Manager, you will work closely with Portfolio Directors, client leadership teams and project teams to deliver high quality Portfolio and Portfolio Management Office services for global, national, and regional portfolios. You will drive the implementation of integrated governance, controls and reporting frameworks that enable efficient, effective and consistent delivery of portfolios, programmes and projects, ensuring success against annual portfolio objectives. Your role is key in establishing and maintaining portfolio governance, performance management and assurance processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, robust financial oversight and high-quality management information.

Acting as a central point of coordination between project delivery teams, client stakeholders and the wider business, you will provide visibility, challenge and insight to support informed decision-making and successful portfolio outcomes. By applying standardised Portfolio and Portfolio Management Office methodologies, controls and best practices, you will contribute to driving consistency, compliance and continuous improvement across commissions, directly supporting the successful delivery of portfolio objectives, a strategically aligned competitive portfolio, and the realisation of client benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Governance, Assurance & Controls: Collaborate with internal and client stakeholders to support strategic performance and business value across the portfolio. Embed, govern and assure portfolio management frameworks and control processes. Maintain RAID logs, registers, trackers and reporting mechanisms to a high standard.
- Portfolio Delivery: Lead execution of small to medium scale transformation/real estate portfolio management offices and contribute to large-scale portfolio management offices, ensuring measurable benefits.
- Reporting & Data Management: Implement effective reporting cycles ensuring accuracy, timeliness and data integrity. Analyse portfolio data and prepare insights, summaries and dashboards.
- Continuous Improvement and Learning: Support initiatives that improve portfolio, programme and project efficiencies and transform portfolio performance.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Governance Support: Build positive relationships with senior leaders, clients and key stakeholders. Prepare meeting materials, track actions and manage communications.
- Financial & Contract Support: Assist with financial monitoring, budget updates, cost reporting, procurement and contract administration.
- Risk, Health & Safety Considerations: Contribute to identifying portfolio risks and integrating appropriate safeguards.
- People & Team: Foster a collaborative culture focused on high performance, innovation and continuous learning, positively contributing to team growth and company culture.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven experience in portfolio and/or programme management or portfolio/programme controls delivery within portfolios, programmes or complex projects, preferably in Real Estate, Infrastructure or Capital Projects sectors.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-profile delivery environments with strong organisational skills, attention to detail and sound judgement.
- Experience establishing and maintaining portfolio or programme management controls including RAID management, action tracking, change control, dependency management, governance and assurance.
- Advanced analytical and reporting skills, including interpreting performance data, monitoring KPIs, producing client reports and developing management dashboards.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with confidence to engage, challenge and collaborate across teams, clients and senior leadership.
- Experience supporting financial management activities such as forecasting, budgeting, performance reporting and financial governance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and programme management tools, reporting systems and digital platforms.

Qualifications
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
- Professional membership or accreditation in portfolio or programme management methodologies (e.g., MSP, PMI) is desirable.
- Working knowledge of portfolio or programme management frameworks and disciplined governance practices.
