Introduction The Parliamentary Health and Wellbeing team delivers a Bicameral service to the House of Commons, House of Lords, and the Parliamentary Digital Service (a joint department of both Houses). Most services are delivered to around 4,000 employees with further support and advice provided to the 650 individual Members of Parliament and their 3,000 employees together with services to 800 peers within the House of Lords. The strategic aim of Parliament is to support a thriving parliamentary democracy. The Role The Practice Nurse Manager is responsible for creating a safe and healthy working environment that supports the work of the multidisciplinary Health and Wellbeing team and contributes to client engagement across Parliament. This includes the compliance, supervision, and professional delivery of all practice nurse services as well as state, ceremonial and official events onsite. Some of the responsibilities for this role include: Lead and manage a dynamic practice nursing team with accountability and responsibility for safe, effective, and quality patient care, role modelling shared learning to enhance service delivery and client care Develop, maintain, and lead strategic and operational relationships across Parliament and with trusted partners to support service excellence and enhance client experience Coach and mentor members of the Health & Wellbeing team, working in collaboration to a shared vision and team goals Accountable and responsible to deliver practice nurse services within budget and to time, ensuring the effective utilisation of all operational resources Skills and Experience To be successful in this role you will demonstrate: You are a qualified and Registered Nurse on Part 1 of the NMC professional register, ideally with a post graduate diploma or degree in Primary Care with demonstrable management skills, be IT literate within Office/Outlook and able to present to a diverse audience remotely and in person using Powerpoint, Teams etc. Experience of delivering, managing and leading primary care services to defined outcomes, in a diverse environment with multiple and competing priorities. You act as advocate for improved patient care by optimising processes, clinical benchmarking, implementing protocols, clinical guidelines, and continuous improvement.
