About the Role
Lambeth Council is seeking a Practitioner Manager to join its Adult Social Care Mental Health Service. This permanent role offers a hybrid working model and the opportunity to work within the Living Well Network Alliance, a unique partnership delivering integrated mental health services alongside key partners including South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, Certitude, Thames Reach, and South London ICB.

The Practitioner Manager will manage the daytime social care service alongside the team manager, ensuring delivery of a quality, responsive, safe, and person-centred service that promotes the well-being of Lambeth residents. Responsibilities include supervising up to 8 social care staff, ensuring statutory assessments are assigned and completed within performance targets and quality standards, supporting social workers with case management including complex cases, safeguarding, court of protection, and authorising assessments.

The role also involves leading on specialist areas across services and jointly managing some service areas with other Practitioner Managers. Supporting professional development through regular 1:1s and appraisals is a key part of the role. Experience
Qualified social worker with significant post-qualifying experience. Previous management experience and experience working within mental health services is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Mental Health Act is required.

Qualifications
