Salary
£59,060 - £66,670 per annum. In addition, this post attracts a Market Forces Supplement of £10,898 per annum. The Market Forces Supplement is discretionary and may be withdrawn, reduced or increased in the future.

About the Role
The City of London Corporation is the local authority for the "Square Mile" and is committed to supporting the City as a pre-eminent international financial and business centre as well as a vibrant place to work, live and relax. The Corporation provides a wide range of local government services and manages world-renowned educational and cultural institutions, charities, wholesale markets, and important open spaces including Hampstead Heath and Epping Forest.

We have a vacancy in the Public and Corporate Law Division, where the work is varied and includes local government law, administrative and constitutional law, planning and highways law, charities and trust law, company law, information law, electoral law, and open spaces law. The Division provides legal advice to elected members and external organisations including London Councils.

The successful candidate will be a qualified Barrister, Solicitor, or Legal Executive with significant post-qualification experience in local government law and/or charity law. Experience in, or willingness to develop expertise in, other relevant areas of law is required. The role demands computer literacy, excellent research and communication skills, and the ability to provide clear, pragmatic advice within tight timescales.

Experience
