About the Role
We are looking for a Process Controller to join Thames Water on a permanent basis. You will be part of a team responsible for the effective running of Maple Lodge Sewage Treatment Works 24 hours a day. Using SCADA systems, you will monitor and respond to process conditions to ensure operations are controlled or escalated appropriately. Out of hours, you will be the responsible person on site, directing Process Technicians to ensure services meet required standards.

Every working day at Maple Lodge is unique, providing a challenging and rewarding environment at one of the largest sewage treatment works on the Thames Water Estate. Full training and support will be provided covering Health & Safety, technical, and process requirements.

Your responsibilities will include overall operation of the Sewage Treatment Works and associated outstations, monitoring and reporting data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance, processing faults and advising on rectification, carrying out plant isolations and issuing Permits to Work, assisting with capital projects, coordinating maintenance and operational personnel, monitoring stock levels, undertaking safety and security checks, and operating processes from the Control room using SCADA. You will also be expected to enter process areas when necessary and undergo training in safety procedures including confined space entry.

Experience
- Wastewater process experience
- SCADA system experience
- Ability to coordinate and prioritise work effectively

About you
- A team player capable of working unsupervised on 12-hour shifts (days and nights)
- Fully competent in using company IT systems
- Holds a full UK Driving Licence

Qualifications
- Qualification in a technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation & Control Automation) is advantageous
- Relevant qualifications such as Technical City and Guilds, ONC/OND, HNC/HND or equivalent are preferred
