About the Role
At Yapily, we are redefining how the world interacts with value by building a powerful, scalable, and secure open banking infrastructure. Our platform powers leading companies and enables businesses to innovate rapidly in financial technology. As Product Manager for Core Platform & Data, you will own the strategy and roadmap for the foundational services that underpin all Yapily products, including account, identity, and access layers, as well as the data products built on this foundation such as analytics and reporting.
You will set standards, own contracts, and ensure seamless integration for customers and their AI agents. This role involves close collaboration with engineering, commercial, and marketing teams to drive product strategy, pricing, packaging, and go-to-market efforts. You will balance competing demands, prioritize foundational investments, and ensure the platform meets regulatory obligations.
This is a technical product management role for a systems thinker who is credible with engineers and comfortable engaging with commercial stakeholders. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as you will contribute across multiple areas in a fast-paced startup environment.
Experience
- 5+ years in product management with a strong track record in platform, infrastructure, or API products
- Strong technical foundation to lead architecture and API discussions, weigh trade-offs, and review designs with engineers
- Systems thinker with experience designing scalable shared services
- Ownership of foundational services or platform primitives such as identity, accounts, permissions, or API gateways, including contracts and versioning
- Familiarity with multi-tenant architecture and enterprise access building blocks like RBAC, ABAC, SSO, SCIM, OAuth2, SAML, or OpenID Connect
- Experience building data products such as analytics or reporting APIs
- Integration of core systems like billing, CRM, or entitlements with consistent data management
- Ability to align multiple stakeholders and drive outcomes across teams
- Commercial fluency with understanding of enterprise buyers and collaboration with commercial and marketing teams
- Sound judgement on prioritization and build-versus-buy decisions
- Experience working in regulated industries such as fintech, payments, or banking, with comfort handling sensitive data
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom
About you
Flexible, adaptable, and a self-starter who thrives in a startup environment. You are comfortable leading cross-functional initiatives and instigating change. You communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences and have a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Qualifications
While formal qualifications are not specified, a background in open banking, Open Finance, or financial infrastructure is highly desirable. Experience taking platforms upmarket to enterprise customers and familiarity with API gateway tooling, API lifecycle management, and modern authorization patterns are advantageous.
