We are GoodPeople, a fast growing tech and AI for good startup, and a social enterprise. We connect purposeful employers and their opportunities to local communities, creating social and climate impact in the process. By combining tech with human-centred delivery, we help communities to access good work in growth sectors like green skills and life sciences. Our flagship programme, the Net Zero Careers Accelerator, is the most advanced of its kind in the UK, aimed at addressing the massive skills shortage in the green economy.
As we grow, we’re hiring an ambitious graduate to support three connected areas of the business:
Product delivery and tech platform operations (working closely with our external development team and in-house engineering)
Growth operations, including data, tracking, automation and outbound tooling
Operational, marketing and event support, ensuring the wider business runs smoothly and presents itself professionally
This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, comfortable switching contexts, and excited by both systems and execution. While a significant part of the role is tech- and product-facing, you will also play a key role in supporting marketing activity, events delivery and general business operations, bringing structure, creativity and follow-through.
The Role:
As a Product Operations Executive, you will support the day-to-day delivery of our digital platforms, the operational engine behind our growth, and the smooth running of wider business activities.
You will coordinate with our external developers, manage tickets and QA, and keep our data and outreach systems running cleanly and effectively.
You don’t need to code, but you do need to understand how systems and tools fit together, and be comfortable working confidently in environments like Jira, databases, CRMs, outreach tools and shared workspaces. You will be supported by our Technical team and Partnerships Lead, but you’ll be expected to take ownership of tasks, manage competing priorities, and operate at pace.
Note: our external development team is based in Nepal, so on occasion you may need to be active early in the morning (from 07:00 UK time) to respond to written queries.
Key Activities:
1) Product Delivery and Platform Operations
Coordinate delivery with an external development team: clarify tasks, answer queries, unblock, and keep work moving
Own the Jira workflow: create and maintain tickets, update statuses, run weekly stand-ups/sprint check-ins, and ensure clear acceptance criteria
Support basic product discovery: capture internal and partner feedback, map user journeys, and turn needs into clear requirements and simple wireframes
Be proactive in maintaining database and platform content
Ensure documentation so the team can move quickly, avoiding knowledge gaps
2) Growth Operations – data and tracking for business development
Design automation and email workflows to ensure timely and personalised communication for leadgen
Support list management, segmentation, and outreach operations across tools
Deliver reporting and basic analysis to monitor campaign performance and growth metrics
Spot opportunities to ‘level up’ our delivery – whether through the use of AI tools and services, or SaaS products, or new approaches
3) QA and Release Support
Lead QA testing of new features, fixes and changes with strong attention to detail
Write clear bug reports (steps to reproduce, expected vs actual behaviour, screenshots)
Confirm fixes and manage sign-off to keep releases smooth and predictable
Apply the same rigour and accuracy to non-technical work such as marketing materials, event details and data handling
4) Systems Thinking and Continuous Improvement
Identify process improvements that reduce manual effort and operational friction
Develop a practical understanding of how tools and processes connect across product, growth, marketing and operations
Take ownership of improving how the business runs day to day
Highly organised and reliable: you can keep track of priorities, keep Jira clean, and make sure nothing drops
Comfortable with data and systems: you can work confidently in spreadsheets, CRMs and dashboards, and you care about accuracy
Operationally minded: you enjoy improving processes and reducing friction
Proactive and confident: you are a self-starter and take ownership, spot issues early, and act without needing constant direction.
Detail-oriented and fast: you can QA thoroughly without slowing delivery
Tech and product curiosity (no coding required): you can understand how web apps and integrations work, and ask good questions
Good communicator: clear written updates, concise status reporting, and calm coordination across teams
Purpose-driven: you care about social and climate impact and want your work to matter
Salary: £34,000 plus target-based commission
Flexible/hybrid working, including from our lovely office in Somerset House
25 days of annual leave
Monthly social events
24/7 GP access - following probation period
Mentorship from the COO and exposure to real startup delivery and growth operations
A role with real responsibility, a fast learning curve and great progression opportunities as we continue to grow
