
Come Out Of Hiding – The Lighthouse Network CIC (COOH) is a Christian organisation serving communities of all faiths and none; looking for a practical, organised and community-focused Programme Coordinator to support the delivery of our funded programmes across South East London.
This is a hands-on coordination role combining programme administration, direct session delivery, on-site leadership and line management of allocated team members.
The Programme Coordinator will help ensure our programmes are safe, welcoming, well organised and delivered in line with funder requirements, safeguarding standards and COOH’s values.
The postholder will work across programmes supporting children, young people, adults and families, which may include Let’s Get Messy, STEPs: Let’s Level Up, Let’s Get Fed, Let’s Get Moving, Let’s Talk, Safe & Warm, community and hospital inreach, Kitchen Social and other funded community projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating the day-to-day delivery of assigned funded programmes.
- Directly delivering and co-facilitating community sessions.
- Acting as the designated on-site lead for allocated sessions.
- Line managing allocated COOH team members.
- Providing day-to-day supervision to facilitators, support workers, interns and volunteers.
- Leading team briefings, debriefings and allocated 1:1 supervision.
- Monitoring attendance, punctuality and completion of allocated responsibilities.
- Supporting programme planning and preparation.
- Maintaining accurate registers, consent information and programme records.
- Completing session reports, monitoring information and other funder evidence.
- Supporting evaluation, participant feedback and impact reporting.
- Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety and professional boundaries are maintained.
- Ensuring venues and programme resources are appropriately managed.
- Escalating significant HR, safeguarding or performance matters to senior management.
- Supporting positive relationships with participants, families, partners and community stakeholders.
The role reports to the Managing Director / Project Director.
This is initially a three-month fixed-term contract from October to December 2026, with the potential to extend subject to funding, organisational requirements and satisfactory performance.
Working pattern – 16 paid hours per week across Southeast London
- Monday – 7:00pm–9:30pm | In person
- Tuesday – 6:00pm–9:00pm | Online
- Thursday – 9:00am–5:00pm | In person
- Saturday – 10:00am–12:30pm | In person
These 16 paid hours include direct session delivery, programme planning, administration, reporting, team meetings, line-management 1:1s, training and associated duties.
Please note: the Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday working pattern is a core requirement of this position. Applicants should only apply if they can commit consistently to these hours throughout the contract period.
Essential:
- Experience coordinating, supporting or delivering community, youth, family, wellbeing or related programmes.
- Experience working with children, young people, families and/or adults within community settings.
- Experience facilitating or supporting group activities.Strong organisation and time-management skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence supervising and supporting other team members.
- Ability to complete accurate reports, registers and programme administration.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work across different programmes.
- Strong understanding of professional boundaries.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, inclusion and respectful service delivery.
- Ability to work the full mandatory weekly working pattern.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to complete all required COOH safeguarding and compliance training.
The successful candidate will be required to hold or obtain an Enhanced DBS check appropriate to the role.
Desirable:
- Previous line-management or staff-supervision experience.
- Experience working on grant-funded or commissioned community programmes.
- Experience within youth work, employability, wellbeing, mental health, food support or community engagement.
- Experience of monitoring, evaluation or funder reporting.
- First Aid and/or Food Safety training.
- Relevant Youth Work, Community Development, Education, Health, Social Care or similar qualification.
- Knowledge of communities across South East London.
