About the Role
The Greater London Authority is seeking a Project Manager for the Green Roots Programme, a key initiative aimed at transforming London into a greener, healthier, and more nature-rich city. This role involves managing a £12m grant investment and ensuring that the grant reaches underrepresented groups and communities. You will work closely with various teams within the GLA to drive programme impact, oversee governance, procurement, and finance activities, and collaborate with external stakeholders to promote the Green Roots Programme effectively.
Experience
A proven track record of managing relevant programmes or projects, delivering results on target and within budget. Experience in grant management is strongly desirable.
About you
You should be a collaborative and confident project manager with strong abilities in project design and delivery. While policy or technical expertise in green infrastructure is helpful, a willingness to learn quickly is essential. You must be comfortable working with ambiguity, managing relationships under pressure, and adapting to iterative changes.
Qualifications
Good knowledge and experience of developing and delivering green infrastructure or environment projects. Commitment to equality and diversity in an applied context is essential. Experience in a political environment is desirable but not mandatory.
