About the Role
Strategy and Communications sits at the centre of the Greater London Authority, bringing together several teams with organisation-wide remits and mutual collaboration opportunities. The directorate’s work includes delivery of major events, designing and leading public affairs or marketing campaigns, providing data, evidence and analysis, leading cross-organisational programmes, and planning for and responding to emerging events or emergencies in London.
As a Senior Campaign Lead, you will run marketing campaigns for the Mayor of London and the Greater London Authority (GLA), ensuring all Londoners are aware of the GLA’s work and how to participate in their city. You will plan and manage your own campaigns, tackling priority issues such as misogyny and violence against women and girls through the ‘Have a Word’ campaign, air quality, housing and homelessness, as well as campaigns celebrating London’s diversity and culture and driving economic recovery like ‘Love London’.
You will lead integrated, public-facing campaigns using a full channel mix and develop insight-driven strategies. Experience working with agencies (creative, media, public relations, and research) is desired. You will manage projects across teams and engage with senior stakeholders, external partners, and sponsors. The role includes line management responsibility for a Marketing Officer.
Your work will contribute to making London greener, safer, fairer, and more prosperous, while promoting equality of opportunity and reflecting the diverse needs of London’s communities.
