About the Role
Join University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, recognised as the top NHS trust to work for in England according to the latest NHS staff survey. This role involves key administrative and coordination responsibilities within the Radiotherapy Department, ensuring smooth patient pathways and accurate data management.
You will be responsible for patient registration and maintaining data accuracy by registering patients on EPIC and ARIA systems, verifying details through questionnaires and direct confirmation.
Managing case notes and information is a vital part of the role, including requesting, retrieving, tracking, and filing medical case notes using the Carecast system, maintaining organised departmental filing, and ensuring secure disposal of confidential information in line with Trust policy.
Coordination duties include arranging patient transport bookings, liaising with transport teams and patients to resolve issues, booking interpreters for clinics and supporting them on arrival, as well as facilitating accommodation bookings and communicating access procedures to patients.
Within the Radiotherapy Department, you will record all radiotherapy attendances and outcomes on EPIC to support accurate activity reporting and income generation. You will also provide clerking support for outpatient review clinics, including booking appointments, completing attendance forms, and arranging transport or special requirements, alongside delivering reception support for adhoc clinics.
Outside the Radiotherapy Department, you will book outpatient appointments on EPIC following treatment episodes, ensuring correct clinic allocation and noting any interpreter or transport needs.
