About the Role
The Receptionist/Admin role at Hurley Group is vital in ensuring patients receive efficient and courteous assistance when accessing clinical services. You will be the first point of contact, responsible for managing patient enquiries with empathy and professionalism. Key responsibilities include managing appointments, handling telephone queries, arranging repeat prescriptions, and supporting patients with special needs. You will also undertake a variety of administrative tasks such as filing, record keeping, scanning documents, and preparing reports. The role requires maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection regulations, supporting health and safety policies, and promoting equality and diversity within the practice. You will work closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth operation of the practice and contribute to continuous quality improvement through participation in audits and projects. Flexibility is essential as you may be required to work across different medical practice sites in line with service needs.
Experience
Previous experience in a reception or administrative role within a healthcare or similar environment is desirable but not essential. A working knowledge of telephone systems and appointment management is beneficial.
