We are looking for an enthusiastic, approachable, and friendly Recreation Assistant to join our team at the Julie Rose Stadium. This role ideally requires some previous experience as a keyholder or within the leisure industry, with knowledge of leadership attributes and day-to-day facility operations. You will be a team player willing to assist in all areas to help deliver excellent customer service and support the smooth running of the facility.

Key responsibilities include setting up and storing sports equipment and furniture for activities and events, maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards across the facility, assisting with daily safety checks, and opening and closing the Spearpoint Pavilion as a keyholder. You will monitor equipment condition, support food and beverage sales as required, and work flexibly with autonomy and confidence. Customer service duties include welcoming visitors, handling enquiries, bookings and memberships face-to-face, online and by phone, operating booking and till systems, and providing up-to-date information on facilities and events. You will also support colleagues in running the facility, including reception and events, and help maintain clean, organized, and customer-friendly spaces. Teamwork is essential as you will work collaboratively to support events and activities, replenish stock and vending machines, and follow Freedom Leisure’s policies on safeguarding, health and safety, and customer care. Ongoing training and professional development will be provided.

Qualifications
- Desirable: Experience in a leisure, recreation or sports environment
- Knowledge of safeguarding and equality in sport
- Relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 2 in Sport & Active Leisure
- First Aid at Work certificate
