About the Role
Join Barnet Council's Youth Justice Service and help create positive change for young people, victims, and communities. You will lead the coordination of Referral Orders and restorative justice processes, ensuring young people are supported to take responsibility for their actions and make meaningful amends. This role involves recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers, organising Youth Offender Panels, and developing community-based reparation opportunities. Working closely with partners, victims, and volunteers, you will play a key role in promoting rehabilitation, reducing reoffending, and strengthening community involvement. As part of Barnet Council, you will contribute to an organisation committed to values of Learning to Improve, Caring, Inclusive, and Collaborative, working to make Barnet an even better place to live and work.
Experience
Demonstrated experience of working with children and families in a youth justice service setting.
About you
Knowledge of legislation, guidance, government policy, and research governing the Youth Justice Service, particularly relating to the administration of the Referral Order process. Strong literacy, numeracy, and communication skills, at least equivalent to 2 A-levels A*–C grades.
Qualifications
A recognised professional qualification relating to youth work, youth justice, social work, probation, police, or health.
