About the Role
Join the London Borough of Lambeth as a Rehabilitation Officer for Visual Impairment (ROVI) and become a vital part of a small, friendly team dedicated to supporting blind and partially sighted children, young people, and adults. Lambeth is a diverse and vibrant borough with a rich cultural heritage and a population of around 328,000 residents. Working in the heart of Brixton, you will help people with sight loss live the life they choose by delivering specialist services that promote independence and mobility.
As a ROVI, your expertise will be essential in raising awareness of sensory issues among partner agencies and supporting clients to achieve greater autonomy. Experience
At least 1 year of experience working with visually impaired people in the community is essential.

You have a passion for social care and supporting people with sensory impairments to live independently. You understand the importance of safeguarding and current legislation relating to visual impairment.
Qualifications
You hold a qualification in Visual Impairment Rehabilitation at Certificate or Diploma level. You have up-to-date knowledge of legislation relevant to visual impairment and safeguarding practices.
