You will support residents to empower and motivate them to achieve their personal goals and gain greater independence, facilitating their reintegration into the community. Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the main support worker for a group of residents, helping to create and update their support and risk plans.

- Helping residents understand their rights, build confidence, and become more independent as they return to the community.
- Recognising when someone’s mental health is deteriorating and taking action to prevent crises.
- Following safeguarding procedures and reporting any concerns as needed.
- Supporting residents with medication adherence and maintaining accurate records.
- Building good working relationships with colleagues and external agencies.

About the Service
New Hope provides 24-hour supported accommodation for adult males with mental health diagnoses and convictions who require high levels of support and close monitoring to maintain optimum mental health and reduce reoffending. We support residents to gain insight into their challenges, develop new life skills, coping strategies, and build supportive relationships.

Requirements

Experience
Experience supporting women with forensic mental health needs, with a solid understanding of risk management, rehabilitation, and recovery-focused practice is essential.
Ability to manage own caseload, determine priorities, and use initiative effectively.
IT proficiency including basic Microsoft Office skills and ability to learn new software programs.
Understanding of key legislation and best practices in mental health, safeguarding, and social care.

About You
You will have a genuine passion and sense of purpose to help people facing multiple disadvantages, contributing to our mission of empowering independence through trauma-informed solutions and dynamic partnerships. You are a team player driven to provide high-quality, tailored support, with the ability to build rapport and trust with people from diverse backgrounds, valuing equality, diversity, and inclusion.
You will be compassionate, supportive, and empowering, able to form positive and motivating relationships.
Cultural awareness, self-awareness, and the ability to identify personal growth areas and take feedback constructively.
Alignment with our values of Ambition, Empowerment, Inclusivity, and Transparency.
