You will work across Legal, Data Protection, Commercial, Strategic Partnerships and the wider Access team to oversee the lifecycle of research agreements, support governance processes, improve contract management systems and help scale our research access operations as Our Future Health continues to grow.
Our Future Health aims to create a world-leading resource for health research to improve understanding and identify patterns of common diseases such as cancer, dementia, diabetes and heart disease, enabling earlier and more effective treatments. Supported by the UK Government, charities and industry partners, and working closely with the NHS and public authorities across the UK, this programme will be the largest health research initiative in the UK.
In this role, you will take ownership of managing and governing research access agreements to ensure researchers can access Our Future Health's data, samples and participants safely, ethically and efficiently. Key responsibilities include managing the full lifecycle of research access agreements such as Resource Terms & Conditions, International Data Transfer Agreements (IDTAs), side letters and deeds of accreditation; acting as the main point of contact for issuing, tracking and maintaining agreements; coordinating bespoke and non-standard agreements; collaborating with Legal, Data Protection, Commercial and Strategic Partnerships teams to ensure compliance; monitoring adherence to UK GDPR and international data transfer requirements; managing queries and providing guidance to stakeholders; supporting supplier contract oversight including renewals and procurement; identifying improvements to contract management processes and tooling; strengthening governance controls and mitigating contractual and operational risk; and building strong relationships with researchers and internal teams to support a collaborative and scalable research access process.
Experience
- Managing research contracts, data sharing agreements, clinical trial agreements or similar contractual arrangements within health, life sciences, academia or other regulated sectors.
- Good understanding of contract types such as data sharing agreements, IDTAs, material transfer agreements and research collaboration agreements.

- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret contractual terms and assess risk.
- Excellent project and change management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to explain complex contractual matters clearly to diverse audiences.
About you
