As a Retail Sous Chef, you will collaborate with our culinary team to craft flavourful dishes that nourish both body and mind. You will assist the Head Chef in all aspects of food preparation, production, and service, ensuring that the quality and presentation of all dishes meet company standards and client expectations. You will supervise and train kitchen staff and assistants, maintain food safety and sanitation procedures, and assist in menu planning and development considering dietary restrictions, nutritional guidelines, and seasonal ingredients.
Your role will also involve overseeing stock control and ordering to maintain inventory levels while minimizing waste, collaborating on special events and culinary initiatives, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment, supporting administrative tasks such as scheduling and budgeting, and staying updated on industry trends and culinary techniques. You will foster a positive working environment by demonstrating leadership, effective communication, and teamwork.

Experience
Previous experience in a similar role within a large contract catering environment, hotel, or restaurant is required.

Qualifications
