About the Role
Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join our busy and expanding Infrastructure team based in London. You will work on a range of high-profile projects across London and the South East of England. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in rail, aviation, water/utilities, highways or Defence, who have proven experience in quantitative risk assessment (QRA) and integrated risk management frameworks.
Your main responsibilities will include facilitating the identification, assessment and prioritisation of threats, opportunities and issues within sub-programmes, maintaining visibility of risk trigger points, and using risk data to inform investment planning. You will assist with identifying and recording measurable management responses, monitor overall risk exposure against budgets, and proactively manage risk mitigation activities. Collaboration with contractors to assess their risks and views on client-held risks will be key.
You will produce timely risk reports to communicate threat and opportunity status and conduct quantitative risk assessments (cost and schedule) to inform project contingency levels. Proficiency with tools such as PRA, @risk, Safran or similar, and familiarity with web-based database tools like ARM, Predict or Tableau is expected.
Experience
Proven experience in a risk delivery role on major infrastructure projects or programmes. Demonstrated competence in qualitative and quantitative risk assessment, integrated risk management processes (risk, cost and schedule), risk workshop facilitation, threat mitigation and opportunity exploitation. Experience with probabilistic modelling tools such as @risk, PRA and P6 or equivalents is required. Familiarity with web-based risk database tools is preferred.
About you
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Committed to continuous improvement and finding more effective ways of working. Able to work collaboratively within a team and with external contractors. Professional, proactive and adaptable to complex project environments.
Qualifications
Degree qualified in a construction-related subject is preferred. APM or IRM risk certification is highly desirable.
