We are seeking an experienced Ruby Backend Developer to build and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems. You will be part of a professional software engineering team, contributing to the development and regular delivery of software solutions. This role involves designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services, working with databases, background jobs, caching, and third-party integrations, and collaborating closely with frontend, QA, DevOps, and product teams.

Experience
- Strong commercial experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails
- Professional experience with other backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL and database optimisation
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
- Experience with Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar backend technologies
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Strong testing experience with RSpec, Minitest, or equivalent
- Good understanding of Git, software architecture, security, and performance optimisation
