About the Role
The AWS Security Assurance Services team, part of Amazon Web Services, leverages the expertise and ingenuity of our builders to establish scalable security solutions for both internal and external customers that drive business outcomes. Our mission is to secure the world's workloads and build a brighter future by delivering bar-raising security outcomes and investing in security mechanisms and automation on behalf of our customers. This team works closely with our largest enterprise customers to operationalize the shared responsibility model as they migrate to the cloud.

We are seeking a talented Security Assurance Solutions Architect to help expand the Security Assurance practice and educate customers on how our product-led, people-powered services enable secure business operations on AWS while demonstrating compliance assurance. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute at the intersection of cloud, cybersecurity, and compliance.

You will engage with multiple lines of business, addressing a variety of security and compliance use cases. Success in this customer-facing role is measured by enabling customers to move workloads and regulated data into the cloud by addressing risk, regulatory, and compliance requirements. You will collaborate with AWS engineering, support, and business teams to provide feedback that shapes AWS technology roadmaps. Travel to customer sites may be required.

Key responsibilities include delivering security assurance and compliance programs with teams of Amazonians, partners, and customers; defining innovative compliance and risk management solutions; resolving security assurance questions through deep dive discussions, strategic presentations, and hands-on demonstrations; and helping customers understand how to move sensitive workloads onto the cloud faster while managing risk and achieving compliance.

Experience
- Experience in risk management and internal audit including performing risk assessments and audits, designing controls, managing enterprise control frameworks, and prioritizing risk
- 2+ years advising customers on architectures meeting industry standards and regulations such as NIST 800-53 and GDPR
- Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA)

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, Information Security, or related field
- Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISA, CISM, GCIH, GSEC, Security+, CPA, CMA, CIA, or equivalent risk, audit, or compliance credentials
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
- Experience performing security assessments and information system audits of network, operating systems, application security, and IT processes
