About the Role
At Amazon, security is central to maintaining customer trust and delivering exceptional customer experiences. The Application Security team partners with builders across Amazon to provide secure, trustworthy experiences for billions of customers worldwide. As a Security Engineer on this team, you will focus on application security reviews, secure architecture design, threat modeling, and security training and outreach. You will also contribute to security guidance documentation, metrics delivery, and improvements, as well as assist with recruiting activities. Experience
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related languages
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP
- Experience with application security reviews, secure architecture design, threat modeling, or related security disciplines is preferred
- Familiarity with AWS products and services is advantageous
- Experience with threat modeling, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration, network security, or AI/LLM-based automation of security workflows is a plus
