About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and committed SEND Team Manager to lead a team of SEND Officers and Caseworkers within our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities service. This pivotal role ensures children and young people with SEND receive timely, high-quality assessments, Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), and the support they need to thrive. The Team Manager takes delegated responsibility from the Head of Service for delivering the annual Business Plan relating to their team(s). You will manage day-to-day operational delivery, drive statutory compliance within the SEND Code of Practice, and support your team to work effectively with families, schools, health colleagues, and other partners. You will also be responsible for preparing and reporting on your team’s KPIs and related risks and issues.
Experience
Proven experience in managing teams within SEND or related services, with a strong understanding of statutory SEND frameworks and the SEND Code of Practice.

Committed and motivated leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with families, schools, health professionals, and partner agencies. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage operational delivery and performance effectively.
Qualifications
Relevant professional qualifications or experience in SEND, education, social care, or related fields are desirable. A commitment to continuous professional development and statutory compliance is essential.
