About the Role
The London Borough of Sutton is a vibrant community located less than 30 minutes by train from Central London, with excellent transport links and a commitment to health, wellbeing, and education. Sutton is home to the Royal Marsden Hospital and the Institute of Cancer Research, and is developing the London Cancer Hub, a world-leading life-science district. The borough offers award-winning parks, low crime rates, affordable housing, and great schools, making it a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Early Intervention Service as a Best Start Inclusion Practitioner (BSIP). The BSIP role is family-facing and embedded within the Best Start Family Hub network, providing early support for children aged 0-5 with additional or developing needs, particularly those not accessing early years provision or needing help transitioning to reception. The role strengthens early identification and intervention without relying on formal diagnosis and complements existing SEND services.

The post holder will work across multiple locations including Best Start Family Hubs, outreach locations, and co-located settings to ensure families have easy access to early SEND support. You will work closely with early years providers, health colleagues, specialist services, and families to promote inclusive practice and support smooth transitions into school. This role offers the chance to shape system-wide improvements and contribute to Sutton's Best Start Strategy and SEND reforms.

The London Borough of Sutton values and nurtures talent, offering a supportive, friendly, and collaborative environment to grow your career. Employees benefit from a range of perks including generous annual leave, enhanced family leave, flexible working schemes, learning and development opportunities, discounts, pension schemes, and wellbeing support.
