As Senior Advisory Manager - Commercial, you will be responsible for managing the technical commission delivery in complex, dynamic, and uncertain environments during the pre-conception, feasibility, and early stages of projects, programmes, and portfolios. You will provide comprehensive in-depth technical capability from strategic commercial assessments and decisions and/or specialist capabilities to deploy in an advisory capacity across multiple clients and sectors.
Your role will include assessing client capabilities and developing strategic plans for value-based commercial arrangements, undertaking supply chain risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies, guiding clients through early programme and portfolio setup and improvement, including identifying strategic vision, intended outcomes, and governance frameworks. You will support bid development, provide strategic guidance to project teams to ensure successful delivery, and work collaboratively towards net zero carbon transition by proactively managing associated carbon emissions.
Additional responsibilities include stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, and data analysis to identify trends at project, programme, and portfolio levels.
Experience
Extensive understanding of delivery models and commercial advice at a strategic level. Proven experience at programme and portfolio level across property, built environment, and/or infrastructure sectors. Public Sector Construction experience is essential. Demonstrated ability to convert specialist technical knowledge into accessible formats for clients and apply technical knowledge to emerging technologies and processes. Subject matter expert in at least one technical skill related to property or infrastructure. Experience applying technical skills in a consultancy environment. Strong stakeholder management skills in technical environments. Skilled in conducting structured or semi-structured interviews related to specialist subject matter. Excellent presentation skills with the ability to produce high-quality reports and visuals. Ability to work across a broad spectrum of projects and subject matter, manage tight deadlines, and lead a team producing outputs in specialist subject areas. Experience working as part of multi-professional teams and communicating effectively across teams and business units.

Qualifications
Degree or equivalent level of study preferred. Professional qualification with relevant chartership body is preferred. Cross-sector transferable skills are advantageous. Educated to degree level or equivalent.
